RALEIGH, N.C. - Throughout campus Tuesday, the Meredith College community enjoyed Celebrating Student Achievement Day, one of the college's premiere traditions. A full day of events included a research conference, awards ceremonies, dance and musical performances, art exhibits, panel discussions, and a special showcase focusing on the campus theme, Critical Thinking for Critical Times.
Select Meredith student-athletes presented undergraduate research projects alongside their peers, while a host of Avenging Angels engaged the campus in a demonstration of sport skills and displayed a summary of the year's individual and team athletic achievements.
Their participation exemplified the vision of the NCAA's Division III platform. The Division III provides an integrated environment for student-athletes to take responsibility for their own paths, follow their passions and their potential through a comprehensive educational experience. Student-athletes compete in a highly competitive athletics program and retain the full spectrum of college life.
