Thank you for a successful 2014 tournament!
The 16th Annual Meredith College Golf Classic was held Monday, April 28, at Brier Creek Country Club. In spite of the rescheduled event and the morning showers on the 28th, nearly all of the 97 registered golfers participated in the tournament.
Platinum sponsor Aramark provided boxed lunches for players and volunteers just prior to the 1 p.m. shotgun start. Participants and other attendees enjoyed a wide selection of raffle prizes and pledged amounts to the variety of premiere offerings in the silent auction.
With the 18 holes complete, players and fans enjoyed a delicious buffet provided by the club, while collecting tournament prizes, raffles and awards.

A special thank you to our sponsors and golfers, many of whom contribute annually to make this event a success. We appreciate your commitment to the Avenging Angels!
The Meredith College Athletics department proudly hosts the Annual Golf Classic dedicated to raising funds for the advancement of Avenging Angels athletics programs. Recent tournaments raised funds to refurbish and repair the bleachers in Weatherspoon Gymnasium and added protective fencing for the softball dugouts.
In addition to supporting the tournament as a golf participant, the event offers those interested a variety of opportunities to contribute to its success. Tournament organizers seek support of local businesses and organizations with sponsorships as well as items for the raffle and silent auction. Fans of the Avenging Angels may also join the department as a booster and make a donation in support of athletics.
