Stout and Cooke Named to USA South Softball All Tournament Team
Burlington, N.C. - The Meredith softball team gained two honors for their run in the USA South tournament over the weekend. Senior pitcher Arielle Stout and freshman outfielder Emily Cooke were named to the all-tournament team.
Stout was 2-0 on the weekend, striking out 30 in 22.1 innings pitched. She threw two complete games including a 10 inning win over Methodist.
Cooke came up with big hits for Meredith in the tournament as she hit a double, triple and home run, knocking in three runs. She also stole a base and was perfect from the field with three put outs.
