Winters Earns Hat-trick in 16-0 Shutout Over Scotties

RALEIGH, N.C. - Meredith College rookie Raven Winters led all with a hat-trick in Sunday's 16-0 shutout over the visiting Agnes Scott Scotties. Eleven Angels scored in the win.

The Avenging Angels scored the first ten goals uncontested as Meredith controlled the draws through 18:39. Katie Burnet scored both of her goals early with assists from Molly Miller and Winters. 

Danielle Lee added a pair of eight-meter shots to increase her season tally to 14 goals.

With a 13-0 lead at the half, senior captain Angelica Ramkellawan opened the second period with an unassisted score, her fifth goal this spring.

Jennifer Halvorson and Catie Grant wrapped up the scoring for the Avenging Angels to seal the win for Meredith.

Apex, North Carolina, freshman Anna Adcock stepped in goal today for the first time this season and posted a pair of saves on two attempts to secure the shutout.

The Avenging Angels host Plymouth State in a non-conference pairing Thursday night. The first draw is slated for 6 p.m. on the Meredith turf. Thursday's contest will wrap-up a three-game series versus USA South opponents for PSU.
