Soccer Runs Over Peace 9-1 in Season Finale

Cary, N.C. - The Meredith soccer team finished their regular season with a 9-1 win over Peace College on Friday night.  The Avenging Angels out gunned their cross town rivals at WakeMed Soccer Park on a rainy evening.

Jesse Davis had threes on the day including the first, fourth and sixth for the Avenging Angels.  Eliza Evans added three of her own for the second, fifth and eight goals on the day for Meredith.  Rachel Didier had two of her own and Courtney Stafford added the game's last goal.  Jessie Breazeale added two assists.

The Avenging Angels outshot Peace 62-5 and had the 10-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Meredith will be the #7 seed and head to #7 Shenandoah in the USA South tournament quarterfinals on Tuesday, November 1 at 7 p.m.
