Volleyball Hosts Dig Pink Game

Raleigh, N.C. - The Meredith volleyball team hosted their Dig Pink Game as USA South rival N.C. Wesleyan came to town.  N.C. Wesleyan took the match in three tough sets 25-18, 25-22, 25-20.

Meredith (12-11, 6-6 USA South) played gritty the entire match against the Battling Bishops (16-8, 8-2).  Meredith keep pace with the Bishops in all three sets with late ties: first set 11-all, second set 14-all and third set 13-all.

The Avenging Angels were led by Cori Spade on offensive with 10 kills, eight digs and four block assists.  Molly Markley added nine kills, one block and four block assists.  On defensive, MaryBeth Finegan had 16 digs and Clarke Glendenning 10 to go with her 14 assists.
Meredith next returns to action as they travel to Lynchburg on Friday for a 6:30 p.m. game.
