Cross Country Completes Best NCAA Regional Finish Ever

Seguin, Texas - The Meredith cross country team completed their best ever finish in the 2011 NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regional Championships on Saturday. The Avenging Angels placed 18th out of 30 teams participating.

Morgan Youd led the way for Meredith and finished 32nd over all with a time of 24:27 on the 6k course. With the top 35 finish, Youd was named to the NCAA All-Region team. The next finisher from the Avenging Angels was Caitlin Dorantic with a time of 25:28 and a 67th place finish.

The next four scorers for Meredith were Lara Pantlin 124th, 26:52), Melissa Balbach (127th, 26:57), Ashley Kate Kesler (139th, 27:29.2), Megan Beebe (143rd, 27:42) and Callie Davis (154th, 28:22).
