Jen Grubb joined the Meredith College soccer staff as an assistant coach in August 2016.
Grubb began her coaching career with the Capital Area Soccer League in 2003. During her three-year tenure with CASL, Grubb's teams won two state championships, one regional title, and one team advanced as a national semifinalist.
In 2008 Grubb returned to her alma mater as assistant coach with the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers. The Vols collected three Southeastern Conference championships during Grubb's tenure with the program. Grubb currently serves as a staff coach with Team First Soccer Academy.
While a student-athlete at Tennessee, Grubb helped the Volunteers to a SEC championship in 2002 and earned All-Conference honors for her efforts. She served as captain two seasons at UT and set three records - single game assist, single season assist, and career games played. Grubb was also named to the Academic All-SEC team. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with concentration in sport management and a minor in business.
Prior to her four-year career with the Lady Vols, Grubb completed a decorated varsity career at Hunt High School in Wilson, North Carolina. A four-year All-Conference, All-State, and All-Region honoree, Grubb set two new North Carolina state records in season and career goals scored.
Grubb recently moved back to North Carolina and resides in Wake Forest with her husband Jeremy, four kids, Riley, Carsyn, Isaiah, and Bailee, and golden retriever Zeek.
