Katie Fulk joined the Meredith College athletics staff as an interim assistant athletic trainer in September 2017 and transitioned into a permanent role at the end of her first academic year. Originally from Texas, Fulk recently moved to North Carolina after completing an athletic training internship at Nothern Kentucky University.
Fulk worked primarily with the men's and women's cross country and track and field teams at NKU, providing complete health care coverage for student-athletes. Prior to a year at Northern Kentucky, Fulk completed a two-year graduate program at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She worked primarily with men's soccer, softball, men's and women's swimming, and volleyball as a graduate assistant.
While an undergraduate student at Texas Christian University, Fulk volunteered two years with the Dallas, Texas, Rock 'N Roll Half Marathon as a first responder, as well as a first-aid provider at the Susan G. Komen 3 Day Walk for the Cure. She also spent time with TCU summer camps and other events while at Texas Christian.
Fulk graduated Cum Laude from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in athletic taining. She received a Master of Health Science with a concentration in sports medicine from NSU.
