New SAAC Officers Emerge

The Meredith College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) selected the slate of officers for the 2013-2014 academic year. After a two-year commitment as SAAC President, graduating senior softball player Sara Cranford passed her post to rising junior soccer member Megan Amanatides. more...

Meredith Hosts Athletic Banquet

The Meredith College Athletic Department hosted the annual awards banquet Wednesday, April 24, to celebrate the 2012-2013 accomplishments of the seven Avenging Angel teams and all student-athlete participants. Athletics Director Jackie Myers recognized the 63 student-athletes who earned at least a 3.0 grade point average during the 2012 calendar year, including eight named to the Vice-President's Club for earning a perfect 4.0. more...

Throughout campus Tuesday, the Meredith College community enjoyed Celebrating Student Achievement Day, one of the college's premiere traditions. Mark your calendar for Thursday, March 14, and stop by Tropical Smoothie

Participate in SAAC's “Pennies for a Purpose” change drive as part of a USA South Conference-wide initiative. SAAC will sponsor a FUNraiser at Tropical Smoothie at 1028 Oberlin Road on Thursday, March 14, 4-8 p.m. Stop by for a nutritious and delicious meal or snack to support the Avenging Angels. A portion of sales will go to the Raleigh Special Olympics on behalf of Meredith. 

USA South "Cans Across the Conference" Results

The Meredith College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) collected 338 cans of non-perishable food this fall as part of the USA South's "Cans Across the Conference" competition. The group will donate the food to Meredith's "The Daisy Trade Too," a campus service group supporting Meredith students and families in need. more...

Meredith Hoops Extends a Hand

The Meredith College basketball team extended a helping hand Friday, November 10, to Raleigh's Inter-Faith Food Shuttle BackPack Buddies program. The team, complete with coaches, student coach and team manager, spent the afternoon packing backpacks for distribution to local schools. more...

Avenging Angels Lacrosse Unites for Special Olympics

Members of Meredith's new varsity women's lacrosse team joined "feet" to run for the Special Olympics Saturday, October 27. Team members Lottie Meadows, Lauren DeLucia, MacKenzie Smith and Meredith Upchurch partnered with coaches Lauren Scott and Kate McKinley in the "Color Me Rad Raleigh" 5K race at Walnut Creek. more...

Meredith Receives USA South Award

USA South Athletic Conference Commissioner Rita Wiggs was on hand Wednesday, October 10, to present Meredith College with the "Pennies for a Purpose" championship plaque.
