    The USA South Conference awarded fifty-two Meredith College Avenging Angels All-Academic honors as announced recently from the league office. Fourteen Angels received a "With Distinction" notation due to exceptional academic success.

    Meredith College Athletics Director Jackie Myers hosted the Annual Athletics Awards Ceremony Wednesday, May 1, to recognize student-athletes with academic and athletic honors. Junior volleyball player Samantha Smith collected the program's Dean Burris Student-Athlete Award, and senior lacrosse midfielder Holly Hite garnered the Athlete of the Year.

    The USA South Women's Tennis Tournament run for the East Division fourth-seed Meredith College Avenging Angels ended early with a 5-0 loss to the West's top-seed Piedmont Lions Friday afternoon.
  • Three Tennis Avenging Angels Named in USA South Honors

    Three Meredith College tennis players were named in the USA South end-of-season honors as announced Thursday from the conference office. Sophomore Brittney Brown and rookie Aly Henneberry earned All-East second team selections, and Sarah Porter was named to the Women's Tennis All-Sportsmanship team.

    With a 7-2 victory over the William Peace Pacers, the Meredith College women's tennis Angels closed out the USA South season as the East Division's fourth seed. The Avenging Angels advance to the Women's Tennis Conference Tournament next weekend in LaGrange, Georgia, as part of the USA South Spring Festival.
