ASHLAND, Va. -- The Meredith College tennis team battled in Saturday's 9-0 loss to the host Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets.

On court one Natalie Collins and partner Aly Henneberry scored three points in a loss to Stephanie Yeager and Morgan Fuqua. Emily Wilkinson and Brittney Brown pulled two points at no. 2.

Logan King pushed her solo match at no. 6 to a 6-4, 6-4 finish, and Alexandra Cheney tallied a pair of games in each of her two sets versus Landon Aud on court five.

Henneberry notched four games in her first set on court two in singles play, but Fuqua swept the second set to finish the win. Collins picked off a game in each of her two sets versus Jacket Gaby Tersigni in the top spot.

The Avenging Angels moved up Sunday's match at Virginia Wesleyan to a 10 a.m. start to try and beat the rain. Tomorrow marks the last match for Meredith until after spring break.
