  • Angels Pick Up Speed in Royals 5K Challenge

    After a nearly three week break from competition, the Meredith College cross country Angels picked up the pace in Friday afternoon's Royals 5K Challenge hosted by Queens University at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, N.C. In a field of 541 women, mostly from Division I and Division II programs, two Angels moved up the college's all-time performance list.

    The Meredith College cross country team competed in the USA South Conference Preview at the N.C. Wesleyan Cross Country Classic on the campus of North Carolina Wesleyan College, Rocky Mount, N.C. The cross country Angels toed the line with nine other teams and came out on top to win the overall women?s team title.

    The Meredith College cross country team competed in the Fleet Feet Invitational hosted by Catawba College at Salisbury Community Park Saturday morning. The Avenging Angels finished in sixth place out of fifteen team in the women?s field, including NCAA Division II, Division III, and NJCAA teams.
  • Meredith College to Add Two New Sports

    Meredith College has announced plans to add two new sports, bringing the Avenging Angels to ten sports. The most immediate addition shifts the two-year club golf program to varsity status beginning this fall. In Fall 2020, Meredith will add field hockey to the atheltics lineup.

    The Meredith College cross country team opened the 2019 season running in the Monarch Invitational at Methodist University. The Avenging Angels finished in third place on a tough and challenging course with a total of 55 points.

    With Field Miller now in place as Meredith College's newest head coach of cross country and track & field, the fall cross competition schedule is ready. The Avenging Angels open the 2019 season August 31 at the USA South's Methodist University for the Monarch Cross Country Classic.
