RALEIGH, N.C. -- With Field Miller now in place as Meredith College's newest head coach of cross country and track & field, the fall cross competition schedule is ready. The Avenging Angels open the 2019 season August 31 at the USA South's Methodist University for the Monarch Cross Country Classic.
A recent addition to the schedule places Meredith at Catawba's Fleet Feet Invite in Salisbury, N.C., September 7. Two weeks later the Angels travel to Rocky Mount to race N.C. Wesleyan's 6K Classic. This meet will serve as a preview for the USA South Championship hosted by the Battling Bishops later in the season.
Meredith travels to Charlotte October 11 during the college's fall recess for the Queens University Royals Challenge at McAlpine Creek Park. This marks the team's only Friday competition this fall.
The season ends with the conference championship November 2, followed by the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regionals in Memphis, Tenn.
